Abstract:

This report documents the methods, results, and conclusions from five years of monitoring (September 2011 to September 2016) mitigation measures on Highway 69 (south of Sudbury and north of Parry Sound) in Ontario, Canada. The mitigation measures include one wildlife overpass, one wildlife underpass, two creek bridge pathways, three reptile tunnels, 16 km (32 km both sides) of wildlife fencing, 27 one-way gates, and 2 ungulate guards. Monitoring data was collected for one year prior to and four years after mitigation measures were completed on a 10 km section of highway that was expanded from two lanes to four lanes.
